Research published by Making Music sheds new light on the obstacles amateur music groups face when attracting younger members. The research was funded by a legacy donation to Making Music, with the aim of uncovering the barriers that are stopping young people from joining amateur music groups. It comes in response to a survey by Music for All which found that there are The results will provide the basis for Making Music to develop additional resources, tools and advice over the next two years to help groups remove or mitigate these barriers and to help young people find and get involved in amateur music. Young People and Participation in Amateur Music Groups
The Amateurs are an indie rock band formed in and around Birmingham , England. The band were awarded a slot at Leeds Festival in by Oxfam. Their second single "Saturday Night" accompanies the Bamboo television advertisement. After playing a series of shows with Eliza Doolittle singer at some of Scotland's Universities in October ,  the band released more material in the form of third single "Hole In My Soul" on 6 December , followed by their debut music video and most successful single to date "The Rebel".
Although lockdown measures are easing across the country, amateur musicians have been excluded from the latest performing arts guidelines. And many are feeling frustrated. Under the latest government guidelines , professional musicians can now participate in indoor rehearsals and performances without an audience — or outside, with a reduced one.
